Our Local Move Process
If it's your first time, or haven't moved in a while, here are the steps and stages to getting you moved:
The first stage is getting you a free, no-obligation quote for your move:
- If you're interested in working with us as local movers, give us a call or fill out our contact form.
- Once we have a good idea of your needs and all the broad and fine details, we'll give you an estimate of total time, cost, and equipment needs from our end.
- After that, you have the information you need from us regarding your move, and you can make a decision to work with us or not.
- If you'd like to go ahead with us, we'll create a time-line together for when we can schedule your move.
- When the day comes for your move, we'll be there promptly with the appropriate equipment (the right truck, a solid team, and insurance!)
- We put in our work until the job is done, down to the last detail and need of each customer.
What's a local move?
Great question! Since the pricing between a local move and a long-distance move, we figure it's helpful we're on the same page in terms of what "local move" means.
A local move, by our definition, involves anything in the Piedmont Triad area. We live in a unique place where there are several municipalities clustered together. We go in and out of Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, and Burlington every day.
Local Move Quoting Process
For the move, we'll need to know about the origin and and destination of the move. We'll need to know where they are, as well as what kind of place they are, meaning: house, condo, office, etc.
We'll also need to know what floor-level your home is on. For some, this is the first floor and that's it, for others in downtown, it's the 15th floor. Those are important details, as you can imagine!
Finally, we'll need to know the size of the home. How many boxes and/or totes? Things of that nature.
We'll also need to know what services you're looking for. Some folks just want help with the loading, others with the packing. Some just want to move a piano to a storage unit. We do all of that, of course, but we need to know to what extent you would like to help.
Most folks have us do it all, especially if it's a whole house move. Some folks do the packing and we do the rest. Whatever the case, let us know and we'll get it done.
